In this improvised murder mystery, there are way too many details to uncover. When everyone has a motive, anyone could be the killer. But what’s worse: anyone could be the victim too, cause the murder hasn’t happened yet. Watch our players try to figure it all out, while coming up with their own hidden (and not-so-hidden) motives on the spot.

Eureka! is a festival where science, art, and music come together in an evening full of new ideas and unexpected encounters. In collaboration with the CLADES Research group from the University of Groningen, STHH will be performing “Stories that shape us”:

Step into a live improvisation experience where stories, words, and audience ideas shape what happens on stage in real time. Together with performers and researchers, you will explore how language influences the way we think, relate to others, and make sense of the world around us. Funny, surprising, and thought-provoking, this interactive event invites you to experience the hidden power of language for yourself.

END OF SEASON SHOW CANCELLED

With aching hearts and sweaty bodies, we must announce that our musical show this Friday has been cancelled due to the hot weather.

After consulting with USVA, we cannot guarantee safe conditions for either you to enjoy the show or us to perform it. USVA does not have air conditioning, and temperatures in the theatre are likely to reach 35–40°C this Friday. Because of this, we have no choice but to cancel. We are incredibly sad about it.

If you have already purchased a ticket, USVA will reimburse you automatically. You do not need to take any action; your money will be refunded.

We will do our very best to find a new date for the show. The Academy students and our team have worked incredibly hard to put on one heck of a show, and we very much want you all to see it.

Stay cool this week, stay hydrated, and we will keep you posted.

Love,

Stranger Things Have Happened

It’s March, which means spring is finally arriving. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming, and somewhere in Groningen someone is confidently leaving the house without a jacket… and immediately regretting it.

Just like spring weather, this show will be completely unpredictable. Stranger Things Have Happened is an improv comedy show, which means everything on stage is made up on the spot, inspired by audience suggestions.

Fresh scenes, unexpected characters, and stories that have never been seen before—and will never happen the same way again.
