Groningen Improv Marathon (GIM 1st edition)
On Saturday, June 14th, Stranger Things Have Happened will be hosting what we believe to be the very first Groningen Improv Marathon (GIM)!
It’s all happening at our home base, the modest Strangers' Garage (Kostersgang 26a). Audience capacity is limited, but that’s not stopping us from aiming big: we’re looking to fill a full 12 hours (10:00–22:00) with all kinds of performances from improvisers across Groningen and beyond.
Our goal? To celebrate the diversity of improv in our community in a low-key, relaxed, and homey (garage-y!) environment.

Whether you're a seasoned performer or brand new to improv, these sessions are the perfect place to connect, play, and sharpen your skills together with other improv enthusiasts from the community. Led by one of our experienced instructors, each evening will cover improv fundamentals, introduce exercises and games to get you in the right mindset, and, of course, provide plenty of time to jam. Have an idea you’d love to try out? Bring it along! You can share it with the group and get feedback (only if you ask for it! 😉). And if you're up for it, stick around after the session to hang out and grab a drink at Strangers' Garage!
